Happy St. Patty's Day

Yesterday at school, Jack's class attempted to catch some leprechauns. No such luck! They set the traps, went outside to play, and darn if those little guys didn't get into the class and cause a stir. They hungs strings from the ceiling, left little green footprints everywhere, left them some Lucky Charms for their snack and turned the milk green! So, we decided maybe we should try to catch one of our own at home. We rigged up a basket, just barely staying up with a pencil. A small breeze would knock it down....no leprechaun was going to get by us! We baked some green cookies, and threw in some MINT Kisses. That was sure to trap them!
Our trap:

No such luck....but they did leave behind some goodies, and a card that said, "Hee Hee, you can't get us! Love, The Leprechauns". Well, better luck next year. Maybe a heavier box, and something without holes. Jack thinks they must have slipped right out. We made it too easy.
Enjoying a LUCKY breakfast of Lucky Charms and GREEN milk.

Claire thought the marshmallows in the cereal were "ok", but not a fan really....like her mom!

It sounds ridiculous, but you must try the generic Marshmellow Maties (they sell 'em in oversized bags at Target here). The cereal to marshmellow ratio is much better than in the charms, where they really over-do the marsh, IMHO.) In any case, you're a good mommy leprechaun to be sure!
